So many people deserve a thank you for their role in my wedding. I want to take a moment to pay a special tribute to Simon Vogt, Wedding Host and DJ, who helped make planning our wedding feel easy, and who made our reception so much fun.
On September 3rd, 2022, my beloved little cat, Sven, died in a traffic accident. I wanted to pay tribute to his life, so I have written a eulogy for him. I have also made a video reading my tribute over footage of the most special boy I have ever known. Both the text and the video are in this post.
On February 2nd, 2022, my beloved Grandma passed away. I wrote a eulogy for her, which I read at her funeral. I've since recorded it for this video, along with a lovely photo slideshow, so we can all celebrate what an incredible woman Thelma Dalton was.
Final Fantasy VII: Remake - Everything This Nostalgic Gamer Ever Hoped For | Review & FF7 Tribute2/7/2021
Final Fantasy VII was one of the defining games of my childhood, one which left an enduring impact. Could the long-awaited remake live up to the image in my head?
On Tuesday, 8th June 2021, our beloved Bella the Brave reached the end of her time with us. Now reunited with her brother, Mr. Blue, in doggy heaven, I wanted to pay tribute to one of the bravest souls I’ve ever known.
I’ve just finished re-reading this classic story, which came out in 2003. When I first read it, it became one of my all-time favourites. My second reading of it has only deepened my love for such a remarkable book.
I recently finished reading Natives: Race and Class in the Ruins of Empire, by Akala. Having taken a few days to collect my thoughts, I have written this review of the book I declare is 'an incendiary dissection of the problems affecting modern society.'
Having finished reading Unfollow by Megan Phelps-Roper today, I wanted to write about it because it is a powerful book, one many people could learn from and one that deserves to be read by as wide an audience as possible.
On Thursday, 18th June 2020, the wonderful soul known as Mr. Blue went to sleep for the final time. I just wanted to pay tribute to my dog, because he deserves to be known, and he deserves to be remembered.
He was the best dog. Last Thursday, the rumour became official: No Thrills were splitting up. Following the sad news, I wanted to write about the band, what they meant to me, and how they changed my life. This is something anyone who has ever loved a band can relate to.
When I saw the crazy man with the strange mask, pulling out his hair and talking to the rats, I didn’t know what to make of him. I could never have imagined what he would come to mean to me.
