As the Gentlemen settle down to enjoy some festive turkey, it's fitting that the Butcher is running away with the league. Can anybody stop him now?
Exciting times in the League of Gentlemen, as the FPL Cup gets under way and only nine teams make it through. In the league, despite minimal position changes, there have been some crucial developments ahead of the heavy festive schedule.
While most of the country focused on politics as the UK went to the polls, something far more important was going on: The battle for points and position in the League of Gentlemen. Some teams saw some massive swings in Gameweek Sixteen, though most were grateful just to hold their position.
A dramatic first midweek gameweek of the season, which saw the gap between the Title Contenders and the Chasing Pack become minimal, which saw Big Steve further cement his position at the top and which saw those who gambled on captaining Mane over Vardy get richly rewarded.
Gameweek Fourteen saw a dramatic conclusion in the race for Manager of the Month, with it going right down to the final game. It saw Iceman Newton smash home the highest total of the week, and it saw the pressure of the chase finally start to tell on Jeeves.
